Membership
We have 60 members with various levels of fire fighting training. New members take approximately 120 hours of Firefighter I class. After that members then take Firefighter II. There are advanced training classes available including: Firefighter III, Safety and Survival, Engine/pumping Operations, Truck (Ladder) operations, ice rescue, confined space and more.
Apparatus
We have five pieces of apparatus: Two engines, two ladders and one rescue.
Rescue
Specialized training is required to rescue people from certain hazardous situations, such as motor vehicle crashes.
Support surrounding towns’ fire departments
We provide manpower and apparatus to any surrounding town that requests our assistance. This can include FAST/RIC team (firefighter assist/rapid intervention crew), ladder truck or a rescue truck equipped with Hurst “Jaws of Life”, and a cascade system to fill SCBA air bottles.
Education in our schools
During Fire Prevention Week we travel to our schools to provide fire safety education to our students.
